ould you give your right arm for an Apple iPad? How about a finger? According to Denver TV station, KDVR, Bill Jordan was recently robbed by an opportunist thief as he left the Cherry Creek Mall. The thief got away with the Apple iPad Jordan had just bought. And part of his index finger as well. Jordan was buying the iPad for a work colleague, who would then have given it to a customer as part of a promotion. Unfortunately, as he left the mall, the thief struck, ripping the bag containing the iPad out of his hands. And the thief must have really tugged, as Jordan had the bag wrapped around his fingers. When the thief pulled the iPad from his grasp, he also pulled the top of Jordans finger off, leaving bone exposed. Jordan has since had his finger amputated, and the police are seeking the thief with the aid of surveillance camera footage of the robbery, and a $2000 reward. It was only a matter of time before an iPad was stolen in this way, but I never thought a mans finger would go with it. Are Apple products really so desirable?
